Okinawa JALT is the Okinawan chapter of the Japan Association of Language Teaching. JALT is a group of professional language educators and researchers dedicated to the improvement of language education in Okinawa and Japan. Okinawa JALT has been serving the needs of language educators in the southern islands of Japan since 1980.

Teachers of any language from all levels of education are welcome to join Okinawa JALT. Special memberships for students planning to become language teachers are available at reduced rates.
Regular meetings featuring presentations by top speakers from Okinawa and mainland Japan are held on the third weekend of each month either at Meio university on Saturday or Okinawa Christian Junior College on Sunday. Non-members are welcome to attend our monthly presentations. We look forward to seeing you there.
